Brussels Airlines Goes Fast

GS Planning has decreased the Brussels Airlines planning exercise from 3 weeks to 1 day. Changes can now be handled much more easily and are less time-consuming. Even what-if-scenarios can be carried out with little effort. The workforce calculation has become precise and can be proven by reports.

Northport Benefits from RFID Solution
Communication solution accelerates real-time flow of information.
GS RealTime and GS Communications have been in use at Finnair's handling subsidiary Northport's base at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport since 2001. The system covers four separate handling units where it allocates a total of 760 staff members at Gate Services, Ramp Handling, Check-In and Baggage Handling.

GroundStar is Extended to Lufthansa Operation at Cologne-Bonn Airport
GS RealTime has been rolled-out with only limited support from INFORM.
GroundStar is already successfully in use to plan Lufthansa's passenger services staff at all of their major German locations with realtime allocation of check-in staff being underpinned by GroundStar at Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Munich and Stuttgart Airports. Additionally, GroundStar has recently been rolled-out to the Lufthansa check-in operation at Cologne-Bonn Airport.

Budapest Airport Signs for AODB
The Budapest Airport has signed an agreement with INFORM GmbH for the provision of an Airport Operational Database for the Ferihegy Airport. INFORM's AODB, an integration-broker-based system of the GroundStar suite, will be installed with the main aim of guaranteeing the seamless integration of the variety of systems on which Ferihegy Airport's operation relies. INFORM will also supply its planning and real-time deployment systems for the management of aircraft stands, baggage belts and check-in counters.

GroundStar implementation for TAGS
TAGS signed a contract with GroundStar Asia for the installation of the INFORM GroundStar suite at its operation in Bangkok. The implementation will be carried out by consultants and ground handling experts from ISEC, INFORM's Thai partner. New Iberia Hub Control Centre
Roberto Alcover, head of Iberia Airlines´ ground handling operation in Madrid, announced the beginning of work for the building of a state-of-the-art Hub Control Center located at the award-winning Terminal 4 of the Barajas Airport. The Center, which is planned for completion in June this year, will house the people and technological tools needed for the centralised management of the hub`s operation in the most efficient manner. The core of the technology supporting the Center, which includes cutting-edge control and optimisation systems, is being supplied by INFORM.

GroundStar Live at DHL's Hub
In April 2008, the GroundStar RealTime module went live at DHL's central hub Leipzig/Halle Airport to manage loading teams and push-back tasks at the day of operation, as well as to allocate aircraft stands.
The GroundStar Planning module has been implemented to plan staff on the ramp and the GroundStar Rostering system has been implemented to schedule and manage staff all over the hub.

Madrid-Barajas Airport
On 30th March 2007, IBERIA and INFORM signed an agreement to license and implement an extensive range of GroundStar systems to enable the management of IBERIA`S ground operations at its Madrid hub. Named GAUDÍ (an acronym which in Spanish represents the concept of an integrated system for the unified management of the airport operation), the system covers the main processes of demand calculation, shift modelling, staff scheduling and daily deployment and tracking of resources - in relation to both workforce and ground support equipment.
