NEW DEVELOPMENTS

GroundStar Commercial Analyzer for the Top Management:
Decisions Based on Reality – the Answer to Sustainable Economic Success

The first integrated aviation IT solution for the top management. INFORM and Cost Aviation recently launched the new GroundStar advanced web application for the commercial analysis of ground handling operations.

The aviation industry, more than others, is subjected to continuous change. Demand fluctuations throughout the year and the overall economic situations and political frameworks influence commercial as well as operational decisions. The GS Commercial Analyzer helps to achieve visibility regarding current business performance, and allows commercial forecasts and what-if-analysis for proactive steering – always based on the interaction between operational and commercial results.

Commercial key figures can be monitored on a day-to-day basis. A detailed analysis of the cost and revenue situation is available per customer, aircraft type and cost center. Profitability checks are run by the system on current as well as future flight schedules in interaction with other GroundStar Systems. As visibility and control of the present situation is just one important factor for commercial success, managers need to understand the different scenarios that might be the result of alternative decision options. The GS Commercial Analyzer offers what-if analysis for evaluating the impact of new flights, new clients, outsourcing and increased flexibility of employee shifts.

The GS Commercial Analyzer integrates with operational GroundStar systems and offers the additional layer of commercial data. This way, operational and commercial results can be considered from a holistic point of view. Commercial issues can often be resolved by operational changes made on the basis of an analysis of accurate and timely operational data.
