LuxairGroup Reports Savings Due to GS Planning
Gilles Denis from LuxairServices reports that GS Planning has reduced his workload, giving more time for in-depth analysis.

In mid-2009, LuxairGroup implemented GS Planning for its budget planning, as well as for seasonal and monthly demand staff planning. In total 21 different resources in the ramp and passenger services departments are organised with the support of GroundStar: baggage assistance, bus services staff, check-in staff and pushback are just a few examples.
“After a short time working with GS Planning, we noticed that we are much faster. We found that there was a significant reduction in workload for the planning process. The time gained allows us to make more in-depth calculations of the demand – which was not possible before. Also, GS Planning gives us much more flexibility in the planning process itself because of the scenario planning feature. This means we can change different parameters and foresee what the corresponding result would look like, which gives us much better decision-making support,” says Gilles Denis, LuxairServices Ground Handling Planning Manager.
LuxairGroup employs 2,500 staff originating from Luxembourg and the “Grande Région”. Its operations consist in Passenger Assistance & Ground Handling (LuxairServices), Cargo Handling (LuxairCargo), Tour Operating (LuxairTours) and the national flagship Airline (Luxair Luxembourg Airlines).
